Delta Air Lines & JetBlue Fail To Obtain More Slots At London Heathrow Airport- Why?-
Delta Airlines and Jet blue are one of the safest and ever growing and demanded flights in the aviation market. Recently they applied for the slots at London Heathrow airport for serving more in the summer season. But unfortunately they failed to obtain more slots.
According to the report, Delta Air Lines requested 960 additional slots, while JetBlue asked for 840 slots, which would have enabled both airlines to add extra itineraries on flights from/to the airport serving the British capital. But their application was rejected due to the capacity restrictions on the London Heathrow airport.
London Heathrow airport is one of the busiest airports in the world that’s why most of the time the problem of congestion happens at such airports. In other cases some of the rules do not allow to increase or allocate the slots. There are some runway restrictions that do not allow these allocations.
Delta airlines and JetBlue-
Delta was founded in 1924, was awarded as the best airline of the year in 2020 and best airline in North America in the same year.
